The workforce at JFJ has grown from three to more than 60 over the past four decades, including machine operators (who inspect and package parts off the presses), process technicians, material handlers, and people that work in quality control, and shipping and receiving.
More than forty years have seen JFJ physically expand their Oldcastle operation three different times, bringing it from roughly 15,000 sq. ft. to just shy of 50,000 sq. ft. We have also increased our capacity to make larger parts, such as bumpers. Once upon a time, the 500-tonne capacity press was JFJ's largest machine.
